What does it take to be an expert in restaurant marketing? Does everyone who has built a website for a restaurant qualify? Are you a restaurant marketing expert if you’ve thrown a successful event? Well, it certainly helps, but to put on successful and fun events regularly is quite a bit more impressive. Still doesn't make you an expert though in our opinion.

Have you ever noticed how many different layouts there are for Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs)? Google has recently rolled out yet another new layout for some searches that has us paying attention.

Search Engine Optimization is about designing and optimizing a site so that it achieves the highest possible organic search rankings. The first thing to understand is that this is NOT the same as Paid Search Marketing. The second thing to understand is that what works today is not your grandma's SEO from 2010.

The internet is not a 'build it and they will come' proposition. Something that many business owners don’t fully appreciate is the enormity of the internet, and how difficult it can be to "get found" out there. Simply building a website, no matter how appealing it may be, will not get traffic to that website.

Paid search advertising is a great way to grow your business, but how do you do it profitably? This is a question that I’ve been asked many times, by clients, in casual conversation, even very candidly by other digital marketing practitioners.

In almost all sales interactions the person being sold is aware that the sales person's primary motivation is to sell them something. It is likely the subtext of the conversation, and something else is the surface texture. Mediocre sales (and marketing) people will center the interaction around themselves or their product.

Many website owners think of SEO primarily in terms of their 'on-page' activities. The things you do on-page, your content, keywords, titles and meta-descriptions, heading tags and organization of code and crawl results. Unfortunately, for so many website owners and novice developers (and even some selling Search Engine Optimization services) that's where their knowledge ends. It's important to have a fundamental grasp of your Off-Page SEO opportunities and how to increase your visibility through ethical off page SEO tactic.

What's next is an idea that's been bubbling in the movies for decades, but is about to become reality within the next year. Augmented Reality, overlaying the digital world on top of the real world in a seamless and intuitive way. Google has developed and will have on the market within the year

One of the hallmarks of good marketing practices is consistent testing in the pursuit of constant improvement. Among the most common and easily implemented forms of marketing testing is the A/B testing approach.
